I am still doing well in diet and excercise, that old factor stress can still
put you over the top on blood sugar. Thursday nite, my son had to go to
emergency room from his job, and they sent him home. Middle of the nite had to
go back up to emergency room and they did cat scan and spinal tap and sent him
to a hospital with specialists, ( we are a tiny rural community). Diagnosis was
correct, spinal menningitus. Thank God is viral and not bacterial but
excruciating head pain. I have been taking care of their 3 children, youngest 8
mos. and between this and the worry about the son have had lots of hi blood
sugars in the last 3 days. Herb, I truly care about you and yours too, and Faith
about your family, too. Also Ruth and Fara and many many more on here. Those who

Since starting on the Lantus Sunday night I have had an extreme high of 126 and
an extreme low of 96. The majority of the readings have been right aroung 110.
This is after reducing my Avandia from 8mg a day to 2mg a day. Draelos said that

I do. I am just so pissed off at my body. I hate being controlled by this. I am
very newly diagnosed and I attend my first diabetes class tomorrow afternoon. I
have my meter but I have not used it yet. I keep telling myself that I need to
be shown "how" before I use it. Meanwhile, I keep getting dizzy, lightheaded,
flushed and out of sorts, with shakiness. I am not sure why or what to do. I
don't know what I am doing wrong. I had an appointment with my doctor a few days
ago and my blood glucose levels (fasting) were 160. He said that was high. I
have come down from 260 plus. I have irratable bowell syndrome so the side
effects from my Glucophage are just wonderful. He upped the dosage to 1000mg
twice a day. I have not gained any wait in the last three months, but because I
have not lost any weight either, that is just not good enough. I hardly ever
used to eat breakfast or lunch when I was at work. I am still having a problem
getting breakfast and lunch daily. I can not afford it. I don't have enough
money to purchase all of that food. What am I to do?

your DE or better, your pharmacist would be good sources. I have found whole
food tablets to be more easily absorbed than capsules. One last point, unless
the AP below knows what all your meds are, interaction may not be a concern, but
again, it might!
