sewing area one day last week and I came across the material I had bought to
make my Lynzee an outfit for school and for Davis his Scooby pj's. last
Christmas. The material for my daughters nightie is still uncut. She said to me
one day you know Mom, I need that nighty real bad as the other one you made me a
couple of years ago is worn out and I got a hole in and and I cried. I had to
tell her that I couldn't see well enough to make it. Maybe if she cuts it out
for me I can try. It really hurts not being able to do the thhings that you love
to do and that others always expected from you. Oh Well, just andother day in
the life of a diabetic. Just keep smiling and take one day at a time!!!!Love to

20/400 in the right eye and 20/600 in the left eye. I have it corrected to 20/40
in both eyes with some special glasses. I wear a pair of bi-focals for distance
from the end of my nose out to about 6 feet. Then I have a pair of tri-focals to
wear for destances from 6 feet out to infinity. I also have had multiple laser
eye surgeries. I go back for a check up next month and am really hoping that I
don't have to have any more of the laser surgery. I have had enough that the
pain killer they use is no longer effective and it hurts like ****. Please let

Well, It is afternoon here and I have been doing a lot of genealogy. Getting
it ready to put into albums. It is keeping my mind busy but hard on the eyes.
Have to stop every few minutes to rest them. My house is in a turmoil. Hubby is
re-wiring the whole house and has torn down the ceilings and what a mess. The
wiring that was here was old and we couldn't get fire insurance on it. Since my

It is sad that most refuse to learn the benefits of whole food nutrients, not

there was NO "no delivery " alarm. I am on a Minmed Insulin pump. The thing was,
I hit my hipbone inserting the tubing..hurt like crazy, but it worked for 1
& 1/2 days! New to me...this sort of thing doesn't happen during training. I
read all the directions, talked with a Diabetes Educator also. Hey, I didn't
know the pump could short out with too much static electricity either, but it
can. My current pump is at Minimed..it died from that. I am wearing a loaner.
Each thing has to be experienced, to understand. 1 & 1/2 years, still
learning.

the cannula to pull out with the dressing intact. However, it IS possible to the
cannula to collapse (or degrade)if if is inserted for too long - you can also
get a kink or completely bend the cannula which obstructs the flow of insulin.
The pump is designed to trouble shoot this problem though and a "no delivery"
alarm should have sounded. You should also be taking injections by syringe
immediately if you get two high readings in a row as there is obviously a
problem with the insertion site. No offense, but it doesn't sound like you got
the best training.

insulin pump, other than mine! A bad way to start the day, but I am slowly
pulling out of DKA. That's "diabetic-keytone-acidosis"..happens to type 1's.

they are in bad shape. Have had one laser treatment of 800 what ever it is
called on the right eye and will have another 800 done in October. After that,
we will start the left eye. I do have a film over the right eye like I have said
all along since the cataract surgery and there was some part of the eye that was
swollen and inflamed. Can't remember what he said.I was so shook up about the
whole thing. I think of you guys often and when the blurryness isn't to bad I
try to read your posts. I am going to try sunglasses and see if that helps with

may have spoken to soon. I have not received an E-mail since 7:00 PM Sunday.
There is a lady who sends me dozens of forwaded messages every single day. I
have E-mailed several of the people that I have their addresses and have asked
them to reply. So far, nothing. So I am going to ask some of you to send me an
E-mail message and let me know on here that you have done so. I really hope that
I am jumping to conclusions. We depend on E-mail to stay in touch with all of
our kids and grand kids in order to avoind the high costs of long distance
telephone calls. It's funny all of our family will sit down and write and
respond to E-mails yet we have never been a family to write letters. I think the
last letter I wrote was when Jodi and I were dating. Gordo, if this should
happen to be a worm don't beat your self up over it. You had absolutely no way
of knowing that you had the worm and whethre or not you were passing it on. This
is something that we all accept the posibility of when we receive E-mail or log
