Hi all. . . Beautiful day here. Spent the day at the local lake. Watching my nephew learning to ski. . . Don't even want to check my BS tonight. (Hotdogs on an open fire.) Don't yell please, I know I'm a bad girl, but what can I say.:+( ... I'm thinking of starting to work out a little again. I did when I was in my early twenties. A long time ago. That's when I tore the rotary in my right arm. But, if I watch it closely I should be able to do a little with it without further injury. What I'm really looking at it the stationary bike they have. It's peddles aren't directly under the seat, but out to the front. With the tears in my knee, I can't bend it enough to peddle a standard bike, so I thought I'd give the machine a try. Hope to gain more mobility and someday be able to get back on my street bike. We'll see. When I start working out in the gym, what are the rules for us? I mean, eat ? hours before hand, check BS when? Things like that. I'm not going to push for a hard workout right off the bat, but still I was wondering what to expect, if anything, and what I should watch for... FAYE!!!! Come back!!!! You gotta help me find out more about the Mystery Jelly Beans floating around here!!! If you stopped in after most of the posts had been taken off the page, I can understand your disappointment. But, hang in here please... Misty? Thanks for the welcome back. I hope everyone's weekend is nice.:+)

NeoTracePro, which I use. Allows you to "backtrack" via your server to locate the email address and usually street and phone of any person that posts on a website, wheather they are a "AP" or not....is used mostly to track hackers and people that post slander or untrue statements on the internet. The information can then be used in civil and sometimes criminal actions.

Misty, thanks for those kind and very supportive comments. Herb,as I mentioned before,I have lost family members to terrible and fatal illnesses(watched them suffer, couldn't help them)-a cousin died of AIDS,my father died of heart disease. It's even worse with prolonged illness-my grandfather,a Cantor, had a stroke-12 years of near-mute before he died. My family also had close calls:my sister nearly died of toxic reaction to some anti-biotic in hospital..I do thank God that she's ok. Your friendship and true support and sympathy has been esp meaningful to me when I had rough times due to my diabetes. Faith, hope your dental work will be ok. I'm sorry if I said anything too harsh last night: Working many (uneven) hours in the projection booth has it's own form of stress:I cope best as I can. Sometimes after a hard day's work, and problems with diabetes and sugars,my nerves get a little sharp. Marc Bernstein.

Just a note on teeth/dental care....Take as much care as you can. Now that I have had a transplant, they no longer want to do dental work. Before my transplant they advised me to get as much dental work done as needed but afterwards they really want to do as little as possible. I need to go on antibiotics just for a check up. The meds I am on cause gums to grow down the teeth. Soooo, we never know what is next, take care of the mouth! Faith, glad the healing is going well. Toad, glad to see you post again. Marc B. Masto is short for Mastocytosis. There are 2 manifestations of it. The cutaneous version which is not life threatening, and the systemic version which is terminal. The systemic is often called the "mockingbird" disease because of how as it attacks the various organs and systems of the body it creates the exact symptoms of a multitude of other diseases. Two one hundredths of one percent of the cutaneous version develop into systemic. It is so rare that most doctors when asked about it will respond "Masto what??". Herb (Bear)

I'm afraid this is going to become one of my "soap opera" postings.I am normally an upbeat person who does not dwell on the negative side of things. I even tried coming on here this AM and teasing Faith, but it didn't work. I know that what I have to say is going to provide grist for the AP'ers mill but I have to vent somewhere. Jodi and I went to OKC yesterday to see all the kids and to go to my ACT meeting. (Amputees Conquering Tommorow) Becky wanted to have dinner just with me after the meeting. She dropped a bombshell on me. The test results that she had shared with us all last weekend were bogus. She has the systemic version which is the fatal version of Masto. With everybody here for Father's Day and having a good time she could not bear to tell the truth and spoil everybody's weekend. She wants me to tell her Mother. I just don't know how Jodi will take it when I tell her that she has 2 daughters with a fatal disease. She is well aware of the hereditary characteristics of the disease and how it moves from Mother to child. She is already beating herself up terribly bad about Beth having it. But, to be told that she has 2 daughters with it I just don't know how she will react. Now, I've said it. I don't want sympathy or pity I just needed to get it off my chest. The day that Becky came home from the hospital after being born she was real fussy and Jodi was extremely tired. I sat in the recliner and held Becky all night. I guess we sort of bonded. She has always come to me to fix things, anything from a broken doll to a broken heart. It's very obvious that I am special to her. And now this and I can not do anything to fix it. To Mark B: Beets are no "higher in sugar" than carrots or peas or parsnips. You have to be careful to read the ingredients when buying beets if they are canned or frozen. Some are preserved in a sugar syrup because people like sweet (and/or pickled) beets. A 1/2 cup (85 g mass [weight]) serving of diced or sliced beets = 10 g of simple sugar (carbohydrate) and 1 g of protein and yields an energy value of about 190 kilojoules (44 Calories) which is the same as 1/2 cup carrots(75 g mass [weight]). Eat and enjoy.

Fortunately,I have more time to relax in between screenings than I was told by my company. Part of the stress is I have a rather demanding/high profile job:chief projectionist at Famous Players head office + screening room-Toronto.. I must remember not to allow some of these posters to get to me-My work is too important. I have a little problem with my legs(or knees-not sure) joints of my knees cause pain-esp lifting films..I have some other diabetic complications-could be affecting my legs-sometimes feel weak..Thanks for the positive comments. So,I have left it alone. Having been under the brilliant care of a distinguished Ear/Nose/Throat specialist for a long time, his view is probably not a tumor-spine is fused.
