They, he/team, say he may play Saturday. Boy, do I hope so! I hate to go to the Post Office and mail packages!!! Ugh!! Going out of town tomorrow after work. Going down to Texas City, that's between Houston and Galveston. Just me and my 'red broom', with the top down. Hope the time away will give me some relaxation and help the ole diabetes some! Will be driving back on Monday! Not looking forward to that at all! Hwy 10 between SA and Houston is a monotous road! Hope the 'stuff' slows down here!!

Just a few words of observation, (I know, no one asked), we are here at this site and others to reach out and touch those who have the same problems because of a mutual disease. Yes, we as diabetics, but what I really think, human beings, get our dander up from time to time. That's to rejoice over! Thirty years ago when I wanted to have another child, the doctors advised me against it because of my diabetes, now look at the number of women having children w/diabetes. Gayla has shared that here and at another site, (that I know of). This is the kind of thing that keeps me coming here and to another site. I finally took my advice of ole, IGNORE, IGNORE, IGNORE! Just come here to share your gripes, concerens of diabetes, and let all the other stuff go by the wayside.

Nader: I suggest you get yourself a glucose monitor, so you can check your own sugars. Also read about type 2 diabetes. . Go to the Library. My Mom was 'borderline'..didn't think she had a problem yet, and diabetes destroyed her kidneys. By the time she found out, it was too late. She had 2 years left. They still won't let me read the past posts so I can catch up on what all of you have been up to and how you and yours are. Beth is doing better. She has graduated from the bedpan to a bedside commode and now to the bathroom commode. Her surgical sites are all healing. Her husband, Rick, Our unmarried daughter who lives with beth and Rick, and Kevin and Denny our son and daughter in law are looking after her at night. The same 2 nurses from their church come by during the day to take care of her. Jodi has got to get some rest. My blood sugars have been amazingly well under control with the schedule and eating habits that exist when we are there. Despite the fact that we both need some rest we are doing our best to get ready for this weekend. We are going to have 13 people here counting us. Our sons and their families are coming for a "Sons Dew" weekend. We have a long list of projects they are going to tackle and we want all of the material here and everything ready for them when they get here. I talked to Carolyn (Out Tulsa daughter in law) earlier this evening and she was actually excited about putting on her bib overalls and helping out. Thanks Jim and Marc, I am not real good at staying still for too long. Marc, that is really nice of you and would love for you to send the information. I always worry about not finding the right doctors if I have a emergency. I will only go if the doc gives the ok. I am not a big gambler so I do not have to worry about losing big money. We had to wait for so long to go on a vacation because of a sick dog and now this. I am trying to stay calm, we bought travel insurance so we won't lose our trip money.
