I had some
further thoughts that might add to the picture if it helps anyone. My name is
Richard, I am 43 years old, I was diagnosed 3 years ago with this disease. I
went to the doctors office and simply wanted him to run my blood and advise me
if there was anything I needed to address. There were 4 issues I had with my
health, Arthritis, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and diabetes. The
doctor wanted to put me on medications, however, I do not like them and felt as
if I could deal with my problems in other ways, which I did and do. I no longer
have any of the symptoms of any of the problems of which I was daignosed. I used
no medications of any sort and did all of it threw change of diet. Today,
however, I can eat anything it seems including sugar and It has no effect on my
sugars. Simply put I eliminated combining carbs and protiens of any sort. I used
in the beginning a product called Circu FLo, and about a year ago started a
product called Perfect Food. 2 months ago I stopped all suppliments, and have
had perfect readings, all normal I ate a huge burger, fries, pie with ice cream
and had blood sugars of 140 2 hours later.

I 3 years ago
was diagnosed with type 2 diabedes AC1 was 12.5 appx at that time over the past
3 years I have don various things that now my sugars are in the normal to low
level even after eating shakes carbs any thing basically. My average sugars are
in the 110 -120 range. I just had a piece of cake, after corn on the cob, mashed
potatoes a lot of meat, and salad with dressing that had sugar in it. My blood
after 1 hour was 95 then after 2 hours 88. For 3 years I did not mix carbs and
protiens, ever. I was able to control my sugar in that manner but if I did mix
beans and meat, or any starch it would raise my sugars. There is hope !

I
am diabetic and love summer fruit which is a problem with the sugar. My question
is: Is there less sugars in fruit such as peaches, nectarines, plums eyc when it
not fully ripe. I don't really like fruit that is gushy and if there's less
sugar in the "not quite" ripe then that would be good for me. Thanks

Dear Brenda, Managing this thing
(Diabetes) is like walking a tightrope, balancing medication, activity, and diet
to keep blood sugar levels as close to normal as possible. Diet wise, the key is
to balance carbs, fats and proteins. A good vitamin supplement, if you don't
already take one, is a good idea. Having had this thing 50 years, I know whereof
I write. Squats

Dear Brea: Are you taking
humalog or novalog? If so, a slight reduction in dosage may help. Another
thought: If you move around a lot during the day, you may need more calories.
Another suggestion: use carbs with lots of fiber...oatmeal, fresh fruit, whole
grains (barley, wheat, amaranth, etc. At the same time, a fast acting carb, such
as fruit juice may help. Talk to your dietitian! Their charts do not fit
everybody! I have found from sad experience they often undernourish their
patients. Squats

I did anodyne therapy three times a
week for about 6 weeks. They always had me do stetching excerises and I did
about 20 minutes of that before the threatment to get the blood flowing. I found
some improvement, I could tell the difference between a sharp pin and a dull one
and couldn't before. I don't know if it was the therapy or the excerise that
made the difference. I had to drive out of town for treatment which became a
hardship and the price of gas and had to quit. Since quiting my feet are worse
then ever, but I'm trying to keep up with the excersises. They told me it helps
some people and not others. They recomend you do for a month-3times a week. At
the end of the month if you haven't had any improvement you probably won't. The
place I went said they had about 50-50 odds that it would help. But like I said
it was something you have to keep it up. If it helps you can back down to twice
a week. They where looking at getting in home units but said it would be costly.
So I never checked in to it. It all cost alot of money, just like everything
else.
