One very evil tradition is the
celebration of Halloween. No Christian should partake in the activities of this
holiday, nor should they allow their children to do so. We can discern the evil
of this day by taking a look at the festivities that are associated with its
celebration. Diabetics like FAITH are dressed as witches, goblins, ghosts,
little devils and fortune tellers. All these are representatives of Satan's
kingdom. Games played at carnivals promote fear in children as they are ushered
through spook houses and horror rooms. Skeletons, black cats and bats represent
death and darkness. No carnival is complete without the gypsy who tells
fortunes. Satan has gained man's approval to celebrate his day by simply making
it a tradition that seems like a fun day. The opposite is true, however, as more
damage and harm are done on this day each year than any other holiday. Children
are taught to go door to door chanting "trick or treat." It is unchristian to
demand a gift under threat of playing some trick. Police are on the alert for
juvenile vandalism and caution parents to be watchful.

because I can't see your point. Is it that anyone who does any hard exercise
would need extra protein? I would disagree. And if your not taking any extra, so
would you. I will use me for an example, I am more active than the normal
person. I don't count anything of what I eat, I just use common sense. I know if
I am going to work out hard I will have a carb bar, not a protein bar, to make
sure my sugars don't bottom out. Would a protein bar help in body development,
yes, would the carb bar keep me from dropping dead, yes. You see, it's just a
matter of what's important to you? That came off sarcastic, I had a rough night
and I am dangerously low on coffee. My point is if you agree that you can
exercise without loading up on protein that your comment about diabetics only
using moderate aerobics is false. ... need coffee, must leave now.....Marc

I have a question that maybe
one of the insulin-dependent folks might be able to answer. I work in the
criminal justice field, and one of my probationers has tested positive for
alcohol via a urine test. She is an insulin dependent diabetic and claims that
she has not used alcohol. The lab says that diabetics can accumulate such an
excess of glucose in their bloodstream that it ferments and then would be
detected as alcohol. I've been in this business a looooong time, and this is the
first time I've heard of glucose fermenting in the bloodstream. Anybody know
anything about this? I'm a Type II myself, but I am assuming that this gal might
not be using her insulin as needed -- if there is any truth to all this
fermentation theory. Have any of you had an issue with this in regards to urine
testing for employment or whatever?

basal rates. At first I thought I might be bolusing too much, but these lows are
3,4,5 hours after a bolus. They are coming in the middle of the night, in the
late afternoon, obvious basal rate times. I keep adjusting down, but it seems to
do nothing. I have gone as far down at night as 1.1 from 1.4 and pumpers know
just how big a cut that is. My readings stayed the same. I was taking 29.8 units

a bowl of cereal and 1/2 a banana for lunch. Went back outside to mow more of
the yard. Still have the whole back and part of the side to mow tomorrow. Steve
offered to do that and I said go for it, so Steve gets to mow in the morning.
After mowing I decided to clean the bedroom that my daughter and her husband
will use while she is here. After taking a shower and before leaving for darts
checked bs and it was 71. Went to Besslers and had the Seafood Combo and 1/2
order of fries and only ate about 1/2. We lost again tonight. Took bs again when
I got home and it was 171 so I took 25 units of the 70/30. I also took the
Avandia after eating tonight. Well, I've got some filing to do before going to
bed so I better get with it. I'll take my Diazepam, work for 1/2 hour and then
go to bed. Hope everyone has a good night.
