I have a co-worker who is blind and just
had 1 leg amputed due to diabetes. If you believe a "little sugar won't hurt
me," wait until you lose a toe, foot, leg or your eyesight and then try to
convince yourself that the candy & chocolate is worth it.

Sometimes it's hard to change bad
hadits. I don't think that a little sugar will hurt you. I'm a chocolate addict.
I eat some sugar free and some not, it's hard to substiute sometimes, you just
want the real thing.

With food additives like nutrasweet
and splenda available, there is no excuse for a diabetic to consume pure sugar!
Nutrasweet and splenda aren't a free ride tho' - carb counting is critical.

Iam like you, Ive only just come to terms that Im a diabetic its been five and
half years now. My diabetic nurse knows what I am like when it comes to sweets,
so we now decided that if I am going to eat sweets I can only have a small bar
with my lunc and that is it.

You must have some nerve damage. It's
scary when something like that happens. I got infection in my big toe from
walking. The infection cleared up, but that toe always hurts now. Always got to
be careful.

Dear
squats: Thanks for your advise. Will try to maintain the walking and other
excercises. Do u think that an MRI or any other test might help diagnose the
problem.

What's the best way to help the
nerves in the feet. It's starting to move up my leg to the knees. How do you get
the blood flowing again. Here lately I've been sleeping alot, used to get up at

Dear Sanjay: Inactivity can bring
on muscle pain. It is good you are starting to walk. Constant fatigue can result
from: blood sugar imbalance (high or low), dietary imbalance, undernutrition,
inactivity, med side effects, or someing more serious. If you can, riding a bike
might help. Squats

bobby, sounds like you have alot on
your plate. My mother is bi-polar and is diabetic. She does just fine as long as
she takes her meds like she is suppose. A endo dr. is where you want to go.
Where I leave we don't have any, so I maybe see one every two years and that's
not enough. They know there stuff and will know just what to do for you. Good
Luck.
