TFaith: I sliced it thick, then baked it for 20 min a 350 topped with organic mushroom spaghetti sauce, 2 oz beef, and 1 heaping tsp of romano. I served the combo over whole grain spaghetti. To the person asking about foot problems: Count on high blood sugar to be implicated in such problems, whatever they are, and insufficient vitamins and minerals.

Squats - I love eggplant. How are you cooking it?

On Wed Feb 5 16:15:32 2003 Squats () said:
An experiment here: making eggplant with sauce for the first time. Topped with 1 tsp of romano made from sheep's milk. Will add 2 oz beef. Will have a big salad with it.

MarcW - I've left mine off and gone to work. That's 56 miles from my home! Did that once! Have taken a shower and taken it off, and gone to bed and heard it beeping me.

You can bet I will not leave it in as long as the last time, but, I will start checking even more after 3-4 days in one site.

BTW, after my workout yesterday my BG was 155. Before was 136. Not TOO bad!

Faith.... well, we are as opposite as we can get. I only change the tubing every 4-5 sites but change sites every 2 days! I still don't get how you push that so far, you are one lucky lady! Obviously don't push it that far! I myself almost blew it last night. I changed late and had disconnected my pump. About a half hour later I heard a click from the other side of the room, yup, forgot to put it back on. Couldn't imagine what that would have done! Take care..... Marc

MarcW - My not changing my site for my pump finally caught up with me yesterday. I was running in the hi 300's and couldn't figure out why. Then I remember that last week I only changed the tubing from the pump to the quick release. A BIG NO NO!

I knew yesterday morning I was high, but didn't realize it was because the insulin was pooling. I had left the canula in one place for over a week.

Oh well, live and learn!

09:57:24 - I think you just spoke for every diabetic out there. We all have thought the same thing from time to time.

MarcW - thanks for the suggestion. I'll give that a try this afternoon when I go to workout.

Squats, I'll also look for the 'CarboRush' that you mentioned.

I went and had my A1C taken this morning. I really did THINK that I'd had a more recent one taken. When my doctor's nurse told me yesterday that my last one was last Feb., I was really shocked. It seems everyday I get more and more forgetful. Oh well, that's life.

I hate having diabetes.I don't want it any longer.I won't end my diabetes today. For tomorrow I hope to be stronger. There has to be a better way,I won't give up this fast. But I'm tired of living in despair and pain, and don't want it to last.Religion is good for some I guess,it seems to ease their pain.but never worked at all for me I wish someone would explain.

TFaith: CarbRush is available at many athletic supplement/heathfood stores. A maltodextrin liquid, it helps keep bloodsugar up during intensive exercise. I take small sips, especially when doing legs. To the person who recommended 1/4 cup of sugar, maltodextrin is NOT glucose. To the poster of that excellent info on stress hormones (cortisol), glutamine in water 30 minutes before working out may help prevent high blood sugar.
