Because at a diabetes eyes, kidneys, heart are amazed. And in fact I still young and me would be desirable to live. Many people live and 60 and 70 years. Dear 12:47, I really must thank you. It is such an honor for me that you share all your wisdom with me. I can tell by your writings that you are an educated man, maybe Harvard perhaps? And you are obviously successful in what you do that it allows you all these hours in a day to monitor this site for any and all spelling errors, and to be anal enough to correct each and every one of them. It's like having your own personal spell check, and for me that is a very comforting thought, to know I can count on you to be there for me at any and all hours of the day and night. The meds are all about the same and some just react different then or than (spelling police) others. As for liver tissue ending up in joints, never heard that before. I would get another liver function test in a couple months and make sure there was no damage. Good luck... P.S. there was this great article in my local paper today about a 12 year old girl, who plays basketball. She is on the pump and they went through all the things about the pump and how it gave this girl the freedom to do what she wants instead of excepting that she couldn't do it. It lists some names, golfers, baseball players and Gary Hall the swimmer as some that wear it. It was good press and great to see another diabetic take control back of his/her life. 70 doesn't sound nearly as old as it did a few years ago! I have a son who had brain cancer and he lost a good friend in high school when the parents believed that cancer is God's judgement of the individual. Nobody knows what causes his type of cancer but I can tell you God has used his case to touch lives these years since. I believe some pestilence is judgement but we are not to make the judging - judge not lest ye be judged, for whatsoever you bind here on earth you bind in heaven. Very risky business trying to put ourselves in Jesus' place. I believe God provided this technology we all use to share information to help each other. He did NOT provide it so we can villify each other, castigate each other. The Apostle Paul had a few statements about respecting others' faith and that is what we are called to do. We are called to witness by example and the example Jesus gave was LOVE and TOLERANCE, not hate.
