Not as easy as you would think - I don't know of any hospitals that don't
require an RN as a prerequisite. Lots of chemistry and physiology involved, not
to mention the need to understand the diabetes disease process as it affects
other disease processes and vice-versa. If you truly want to become a CDE - go
for it! Just be aware that the job of a CDE goes far beyond strictly the
parameters of diabetes.

causing the chat commotion. There were a lot of participants who went to great
lengths to console and help him through and with his vision problems. A lot of
participants were also very kind and informative to him during his "to pump or
not to pump" decision making process. I enjoyed his humor and his friendly
exchanges with Bambi(?){memory might need a jumpstart but i think i have the
right name}. He shared a lot of his feelings and enough of his daily life with
us that I appreciate his person. The golfing stories would sometimes still have
me chuckling into the evening hours. I hope that you are wrong about who you
feel is responsible but if you have gone to all the effort of checking and
recording you are probably not wrong.

hail as big as a baseball to a softball. We had three cars damaged, (with only
two fully insured). My convertible has no back window and the top is torn up,
plus the huge dents all over. One window in our house was broken, the others are
plexiglass. The hail came through the screen and the window of my bathroom. This
town looks like it had gone through another tornado. Needless to say the stress

possibly 5, so safe to say 4 or 5 years ago this was a nice informative pleasant
place to come and read. The information was offered by individuals from their
personal diabetes treatment and was relevant to the stage of the disease they
were at. People would listen to what other people offered, consult their own
endo or care provider with what they had heard, and a lot of people seemed to be
learning from what was offered. Areas to explore with new information and new
promises were posted and usually included websites to visit. People who had
experienced a proceedure were more than willing to coach and guide someone with
the first hand knowledge they had gained. Squabbling was present but usually was
nipped quickly and buried but not always forgotten. Personal controversy always
seemed to resurface. I can't remember the element of religion not being here. It
was low key and respected. Once in a while there would be a reminder to keep it
low key and everyone did appeared to do their best to comply. I always felt that
there was a group setting to this site and at times it actually appeared to
divide itself into teams. Sort of like the "good guys" versus the "bad guys" but
was more like the "regulars" bonding together and intimidating people. I think
the breakdown of this site resulted from the "regulars" insulting or
intimidating someone who found this site to be helpful. I think that this person
is showing the bitterness that the exclusion has caused them by making it no
longer enjoyable for anyone. Please regard the above post as my opinion.
