I am so very
very sorry to hear about Faye. Thank you, dear friends, who emailed me to let me
know. I will keep her family daily in my prayers. You have lost one precious
person from your lives, dear Faye's family, I know through talks with her and
emails in the past how very much her family meant to her and how hard she tried
to be there for them. I have had very little time online lately because of
illness. I managed to get bronchitus and a severe bladder infection at the same
time and was running over 500 on blood sugar, just didn't get on line to check
postings about anywhere. Though haven't posted in quite a while, I still stay in
touch with many by email and will always treasure the first few mos. after
finding this site, such compassion and love were wonderful for a lady, (me), who
was in desperate straits and found a lots of love and kindness here. Thank again
to all of you that that pertains too. Love Anita, aka hot pink

Williams: Your Mom, Faye, helped us very much. She wrote to me, when I was going
through a crisis, and she also. We shared a lot of strength, animal stories,
diabetes education and funny stuff. She truely WAS an inspiration to many. I am
so sorry to hear of her passing. My condolences go to you. Faye was a brave
woman and a fighter...she shared her strength and help for years & was a
good example of what this Diabetes Board & Education Chat should represent.
She helped many that would not have written here, if not for her. May her Soul
"Be" in radiant peace now.

To Mary Teague Williams: My condolences on the death of your
mother,Faye. She was a kind and very supportive person, and was so very helpful
to diabetics (incl myself) on this chat. I'm sorry to have heard that she had so
many diabetic and heart problems. Faith, greetings. Herb,CB:greetings as well.
Kay,I have a suggestion for you when you see your dietician:you might want to
keep a food diary,or plan,of all the meals you eat. That way, your dietician
could monitor your progress. Jack,I have been on Predisone,(for asthma) though
my dose was low,my taste buds were gone for a month, till I went off it. Good
luck.

Kay, I don't know about a 'high'
chance. All I know is I've know a couple of people who were told by their
doctors they could become a diabetic. I think, like with diabetes, you must
watch your diet and do what the doctors say. Have you seen a dietician? That
should be your first step!

donations our family has suggested the American Diabetis Association in our
mothers name. If anyone wants to talk to me you may e-mail me at mew@nhvt.net i
have written to all of you before when my mom has been in the hospital with
different heart and diabetic problems before and this is no joke i am very
serious when I say Faye Teague is no longer with us. We will miss our mom very
much, and we loved her just as much. Again my deepest sympathy goes to all that
knows her. Her caring and loving Daughter, Mary Teague Williams

Jack, I've never taken Predizone,
but I'm sure you could get info on it's effects by going to your search engine.
I know that there are meds out there that will elevate ones BG levels. This may
be what is happening here.
