Diabetes Education and Research Center

The Diabetes Education and Research Center (DERC) is a non-profit organization serving the needs of people living in Philadelphia, PA and surrounding communities. It was established in 1967 to supplement the efforts of the Garfield G. Duncan Research Foundation.

The goal of the Foundation is to improve the health of people with diabetes. The Diabetes Education and Research Center aids the Foundation's goal by:

  • Providing education through its News and Information Journal.
  • Acting as a patient advocate. We provide the diabetic patient with contact information for companies, health professionals, and other individuals and organizations that deliver necessary products or services. We will also contact these resources on behalf of a client.
